1-Day, Tour Itinerary, Siem Reap: 8.30am-4.30pm
We’ll pick you up from your hotel in Siem Reap at 8 am and make the short trip out of town into the picturesque countryside to spend the day amongst the rice fields with water buffalo and traditional Cambodian stilted houses.
We’ll stop at a small countryside market where we get a chance to meet the locals and try some interesting and tasty local Cambodian snacks!
After a short boat journey, we’ll hop in our kayaks and paddle out into the lake. The lake is a conservation area known for its birds, so we will get the chance to spot some interesting species of wildlife along the way.
After an hour or so, we’ll take a break on an island for a rest and some more animal spotting. Then we hop back in the kayaks to complete our journey on the lake!
We’ll stop for lunch in a bamboo hut that is a popular local picnic spot. We enjoy some simple but tasty local dishes. After lunch, you can relax in the shade and take in the scenery.
In the afternoon we’ll take an ox-cart ride through the local villages visiting an ancient Buddhist pagoda to get an idea of the importance of religion to the locals. We will finish the tour with a blessing from the monk.
We will drop you back at your accommodation in Siem Reap at about 4.00 pm.
